The California Probate Code sets the maximum statutory fees that attorneys can charge for a probate. Higher fees can be ordered by a court for more difficult cases. Our fees will be at or less than the statutory fees unless extraordinary services are provided:
- 4% of the first $100,000 gross estate
- 3% of the second $100,000 gross estate
- 2% of the next $800,000 gross estate
- 1% of the next $9,000,000 gross estate
Under most circumstances, we don't get paid until the probate is completed
and the Court has approved our fees.
